Green Bean Casserole
- 1 pound of Fresh Green Beans, ends clipped
- 4 slices of bacon, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts
- 1/4 cup chopped white onion, make fairly large chunks
- 1/2 cup mushrooms
Directions:
Boil Green Beans for approx 7-10 minutes depending on desired tenderness. While beans are boiling, cook bacon in pan for 3 minutes, add onions and mushrooms, cook until bacon is fully cooked and onions are clear. Once beans are fully cooked add them to the skillet and toss with mixture of bacon, onions and mushrooms. Fully coat beans and then toss in pine nuts, cook for a couple more minutes and serve.
I'm going to try these for Christmas dinner. These look wonderful.
